phenomenon in modern publishing. Most people sit down to write the best book ever written. Tillock has somehow managed to write the worst.
Tillock breaks every rule in the writer’s rulebook:
Keep up the tension? Tillock goes off on tangents and digressions just at the point when suspense may have inadvertently crept in.
Keep it concise? Tillock over-explains everything till you want to hurt him.
Find “le mot juste”? Tillock never bothers, he’ll give you nine or ten words
that sort of cover the one he’s trying to think of.
Tie up loose ends? Tillock has no idea what that even means.
About the Author
Bestselling thriller-writer Saul Tillock is an avid amateur topiarist and world-renowned author, writer and typist, specializing in crime fiction and all other types of fiction as well. His works have been translated over into countless numbers of languages, including American, Australian, Canadian, Binary, and New Zealian. He teaches creative writing in Harvard, normal writing in MIT, joined-up writing in Trinity College Dublin, and woodwork in the Dublin Institute of Technology. He lives alone with his dogs. (He used to have two dogs but one ran out on the road because he never shut the door properly when people called in and they said you should watch those dogs cos they’ll keep running out and one day one’of’em’ll get killed but he just laughed, and then one day the dogs ran out and one got knocked down and died. A car was involved, and a neighbour, who was in the car at the time, was driving. The neighbour was very apologetic, so Tillock said ok, but he knew deep down it was completely the neighbours fault, or his own, at least one of them was to blame. He felt quite bad about it for ages, but eventually, he moved on with his life and got another dog to go with the one that was left). He is about average height, slightly overweight, and enjoys very short walks, mainly to the bathroom.
